This regulation defines safety requirements for fish and seafood products that are mandatory for enforcement in EAEU countries, as well as a number of requirements for production, storage, transportation, sale and subsequent clearance and packaging requirements. This document was created for purposes such as:

Protection of the life and health of citizens
Protection of the natural environment
Prevention of actions that could mislead fish and seafood buyers.

The applicant can be a company or an individual entrepreneur who has been registered in accordance with the laws of a country that is a participant in the CU, as well as a manufacturer or performing the function of a foreign manufacturer on the basis of an agreement with him. To obtain the Technical Regulations it is necessary to prepare the necessary documents, then the goods are checked, a protocol is drawn up for compliance with the requirements and a certificate is issued, or not issued if the product does not meet the requirements.

The above regulation applies to fish and seafood products marketed in CU member countries. In particular, this applies to fish products captured from water bodies, algae, aquatic mammals, aquatic plants, various types of aquatic invertebrates and so on.

The effect of this regulation does not apply to the breeding and farming process of fish and other animals living in water, algae and other aquatic plants, special fish products, food supplements and additives produced on the basis of fish, animals that live in the water, algae and other plants in the water. On the process of creation, storage, transport and disposal of non-industrial fish goods produced in the member countries of the Customs Union. It also does not apply to seafood products that are produced by citizens at home or on their subsidiary plots, store, transport and liquidate this product and do not sell it in states that are part of the Customs Union. It also does not apply to goods from amphibians, reptiles, non-food fish products.

The document is issued for a batch of products (limited by the shelf life of the products) or for mass production. In this case, the period of validity of the document can be up to 5 years.
