A certificate of conformity for personal protective equipment can be issued if the PPE (protective gloves, goggles, helmets and various hats, boots, overalls, overalls, etc.) meet all the safety requirements of the technical regulation TR CU 019/2011 'On the safety of personal protective equipment ”. According to this regulation, protective devices must save from:

mechanical impact
pollution
chemical attack
ionizing and non-ionizing radiation
the effects of extreme temperatures
electric shocks
negative effects of electric and electromagnetic fields
dangerous influence of biofactors
low visibility

Voluntary PPE certification
Can voluntary certification of PPE replace mandatory certification? The procedure for passing the confirmation of compliance with the requirements of TR CU 019/2011 in the form of certification for the 2nd risk class of protective devices (complex structures that save from death or irreversible damage to humans) is mandatory. Voluntary certificates in the ISO system (ISO), GOST R, etc. in this case, together with independent test reports, they can serve as additional proof, but not in any way replace the mandatory certification.

Declaration of personal protective equipment
For 1st class protective equipment (a simple design that can protect against minor injuries), it is expected to pass the declaration of conformity procedure in the form of a declaration, based on tests obtained in our own way or with the participation of a laboratory test inserted in the register according to standard schemes: 1D, 3D (mass production), 2D, 4D (batch / single issue).

PPE certification and declaration
As mentioned above, in the choice of forms of confirmation of conformity of a given product, they are guided by the risk class: for the first class - declaration, for the second - certification. At the same time, depending on the type of release, various schemes are provided (1D-4D, 1C-6C). To avoid unnecessary problems with choosing the right form and scheme, collecting all documents and carrying out all procedures, it is best to contact professionals.
