The certificate of conformity for packaging is issued by an accredited center after the procedure for passing all the tests required for the confirmation of conformity, regulated by TR CU 005/2011 'On the safety of packaging'.

The regulation itself contains instructions for the application, use, storage and disposal of this raw material. These guidelines were introduced in order to protect the environment, health and life of the final consumer from harmful or improper use of packaging, and also to prevent the final consumer from using a low quality product.

This regulation covers all types of packaging, including caps, which are for the most part already a final product destined for mass production in the territory of the Customs Union, regardless of the country of origin. According to the requirements of TR CU 005/2011, packaging in: cardboard, paper, wood, glass, metal and plastic are subject to declaration. Furthermore, independent documentation is issued for each individual type of packaging. In addition, an additional packaging certificate can be obtained if desired. That is, in addition to the rules of the regulation, it is allowed to freely register this certificate of conformity. However, this document is not replaceable.

First, a declaration of conformity is registered and, subsequently, a procedure for voluntary registration and obtaining a certificate for packaging is possible.

The statement includes two main points:

- verification by testing the product
- issuing of an opinion and registration for the conformity of the products.

At the end of the studies, the commission concludes a protocol, which will indicate the basis for issuing the declaration of conformity of the product. The document is valid for 2 - 5 years. Information about him is contained in the official portal of the Federal Service for Accreditation. Upon receipt of the certificate of conformity, the applicant must also contact a certified center or company, providing a certain set of documents. Here, too, the procedure is carried out in several successive stages.

After passing the procedures, the applicant is issued a document with the appropriate conclusion, the certificate is valid for three years. Of course, the procedure for issuing a declaration and obtaining a certificate of conformity for packaging materials is not an easy and time-consuming operation that requires a large amount of special knowledge and free time required to complete the whole procedure.
